Sync your Books on KOREADER from kobo to android.

There's a way to sync your koreader books on your kobo to your android, and it's fairly easy to do so. Sometimes, if i ever leave my apartment to go outside in the first place, haha, i would be taking my android-phone with me, and i would like to be able to read on it.  1. well, for one thing, you need koreader installed on your kobo and your android device. 2. second, just simply go to the configuration menu on your kobo (make sure the book you're reading is open first.) and create/register an account with koreader. 3. second, press the "push your progress to all devices" under the menu where it says "progress" 4. login using the same registered account on your android, and press "pull your progress to device" it'll synchronize your progress between the two devices. I also, however, did turn on automatic sync so it automatically syncs between the two devices. so that it's a lot less of a hassle to sync the two devices to the same readi...

Installing Koreader and NickelMenu to your KOBO

I installed KOREADER, PLATO and NICKELMENU on my kobo clara color, and it was an easy enough process.... in all honestly i don't wanna write down the steps because the process might be deemed "delicate." i'll just post the URL where i got the "one click install package" for koreader, and it's wiser to follow the instructions there. "https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=314220" I hope whoever comes to this blog looking for this info goes to the above URL instead. i'm not saying this process of install is dangerous for your kobo, or whether or not you could soft-brick your device, but it's better if you followed instructions from the above URL instead.  One.... can never.... be too sure.

Kobo Calibre Web Setup

I just got around to setting up my Kobo Clara Color with calibre web. It was an interesting process, being able to sync all my books from my shelf on calibre web to my kobo.  And not very difficult at it, really. The following steps will allow you to setup your kobo with calibre web.  What I did was : 1. Download and install the calibre main program. 2. Setup a database within calibre (with all the books i have, of course). 3. Download and install calibre web.  4. setup calibre web so that it has a shelf, and did some configuration hokey-pokey to get it to work.      a. changed the username password to suit my needs. The URL for the calibre web setup would look along the lines of http://192.168.xx.xx:XXXX/     b. Setup calibre web under "basic configuration" settings in the admin panel to sync kobo with my           computer, and "proxy unknown requests to the kobo store"     c. set a port for the connection...
